Dr.
Michael Torgerson and his wife, Joy, founded Vision Eyeland Super Optical
in Fort Collins, CO. Dr. Torgerson did his undergraduate study at Mankato
State University in Mankato, Minnesota. He received his Doctor of Optometry
degree in 1977 from Pacific University College of Optometry located in
Forest Grove, Oregon. He returned to school in 1989 and became certified
in therapeutic pharmaceuticals for the treatment of eye diseases by the
Southern California College of Optometry, University of Optometry, University
of California at Fullerton.
Dr.
Torgerson's emphasis in optometry school was in contact lenses and children's
vision to include visual training therapy. He specializes in Family Practice Optometry and
treats all types of visual disorders.
Joy
Torgerson, manager of Vision Eyeland's optical, received her diploma in
Nursing from Hennepin County General Hospital School of Nursing in Minneapolis,
Minnesota in 1973. She received her Bachelor of Science Degree in Nursing
from Viterbo College in LaCrosse, Wisconsin in 1985. She is an ABO certified
optician and is a Registered Optometric Assistant.
Michael and Joy reside in
Fort Collins along with their four children - Tara, Eric, Travis, and Jenna. |
